Live for the Moment

There is a show airing tonight called Live for the Moment and apparently it features people who are going through difficult times and helps them fulfill some of their lifelong dreams.

This is my neighbor, Roger Childs. He lives four houses down from me and unfortunately he was chosen for tonight's premiere episode because he has ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). ALS is a terminal disease - Roger was given two to five years (but told to prepare himself for two). Luckily for him, his disease has been inexplicably slow to progress, so it has been five years and he is still doing relatively well. He has two young boys and has spent the last five years trying cram in a lifetime worth of memories and to teach them a lifetime worth of lessons... can you imagine?

I know he is using this show as a vehicle to raise awareness for his disease, so I thought I would mention it in case anyone wanted to tune in!
