This is the walk up to Red Rocks... it felt like a pilgramage. You can see the tiny line of people walking up and up and up and into this hidden, naturally formed ampitheater...

Here is a shot with Denver in the background:

Here is a doctored up image of the band, just for fun:

And another of the girls:

And finally, since it was date night:

In other news, our neighbors had a huge 4th of July party at the park down the street... You can tell my schedule is lighter this summer b/c we were actually prepared with red and blue hair and festive strawberries!
Gwen wanted a star (we had seen the idea on a website):
And for Darcy, we decided to go for a "firework" theme. Here she is being grumpy:
And here she is trying to stay grumpy after someone made her laugh:
And here are the strawberries!!!

And last but not least, Lance went mountain biking with our nephew Skyler in June (day before Father's Day) and took a big spill. Ended up breaking his radius right near the wrist, so he had a cast up to his shoulder for 3 weeks. When he finally got it off, the doc said his radius was all healed and lance asked, "Well then how come my hand is still all swollen and still really hurts?". Turns out, he had also broken a bone in his hand and will probably need surgery. He is really upset that he could have had the surgery 3 weeks ago and been recovered by now, but he is trying to stay positive : ) It's been a bummer for the whole family b/c there is not much he can do with one arm (including help with yard work!).
yay, you cut your hair! it looks awesome. i have always loved you with super short hair :)
