The Advent Candle went ok - Lance did a reading and I managed an open flame in one hand and a baby in the other with no mishaps. We were all up at the altar, Darcy saw me lighting the candle and loudly announced that it was time to sing Happy Birthday, but other than that, we were good. The worst part was that we had to sit in the front row for the remainder of the service. I'm sure they loved it when we started passing out rattles, coloring books, crayons and sippy cups and letting Beckett chew on the candles for the candle-lit "Silent Night".
The Christmas pageant was another story. Here are Gwen, Darcy and their cousin Cooper, sheeps all. In the first picture Gwen is subtly trying to push Cooper off of his carpet square while looking innocent and Cooper is not happy about it. You can also see Darcy, holding a stuffed rooster and coloring on the church bulletin. Keep in mind, this is all going on in the background of the manger where Baby Jesus is being born.

This second picture is Gwen, crying on stage, and reaching for me/crawling towards me after I mouth the words "YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE". When the pageant finally ended, I had to escort my crying (bleating) sheep out of the church and give her a lecture. Notice that Darcy has disappeared from the scene. She didn't cause a stir, but she literally just decided she was done and just slid herself off of the stage, across the floor and back to her Daddy. It was too funny!
