A: Taking a six year old, a four year old, and a 23 month old skiing. (especially a 23 month old on his 3rd day of potty training!)

But aren't they cute? We kind of figured that we might as well just go for it. Otherwise half the family has to sit in the lodge all day and we have to listen to them cry about wanting to ski. The great part is, Darcy actually went down a REAL run (i.e. not magic carpet) with the harness and managed to keep herself up and steady the entire (almost) time! Lance and I were beyond excited. This was a goal we'd been hoping for maybe next winter. We really didn't think it could happen this year, so we were so psyched.
This girl keeps teaching us important life lessons and this week was no exception: There are two ways to get good at something. You can have natural talent and "tackle" a new challenge, or you can simply persist. Over time and with enough exposure, you can simply persist until you have mastered whatever you dream about doing.
Beckett loves skiing and often puts his hat, mittens and boots on by himself and then announces, "I'm going skiing!". This time around he loved it so much that he fell asleep on the way down the hill with Lance holding him under the arms. Lance was able to take his skis, boots and snowsuit off and put him down for a nap in the lodge without him even waking up : ) Some might say its not worth it to take kids skiing so young, and I absolutely agree that it is probably WAY more trouble than it is worth, but we had fun, so why not?
